New Facility Expected to Boost Production in Manganese Sector
Indian manganese alloys producer Maithan Ferrous (MFPL) has officially activated its new 60,000 t/yr plant in Bankura, West Bengal, as of September 1. The state-of-the-art plant, featuring two 16.5MVA submerged arc furnaces, is gearing up for production to commence on September 15. While the facility has the capability to switch to ferro-silicon production, it is anticipated that the majority of the new capacity will focus on manganese alloys. MFPL, a subsidiary of Maithan Alloy, is poised to enhance its market presence with this latest addition.
