E3 Lithium successfully produced battery-quality lithium carbonate from Alberta's Leduc reservoir brines. This milestone may draw partners and offtakers to the project.

Demonstration-Scale Production Achieves High Purity

Using lab-based demonstration equipment, E3 Lithium achieved 99.71pc purity. Further testing of operational parameters will precede full-scale facility operations. "Developing battery quality lithium carbonate at this scale brings us closer to proving Alberta's potential," stated CEO Chris Doornbos. Lithium chloride concentrates, sourced from Bashaw District's Leduc reservoirs, support 132,000 t of lithium carbonate production for 25 years.
