Marula Mining secured manganese ore supply agreements for its Kilifi processing plant in Kenya. The company anticipates commissioning the plant in the first quarter of 2025.
Plant Modifications and Production Goals
Marula's 80pc-owned Kilifi plant, acquired in late 2024, can process 10,000 t/month of manganese ore. Modifications, including expanded stockpiling areas, will finalize in Q1 2025. Commissioning and initial export sales will then follow. Marula completed metallurgical tests and optimization studies for higher-grade manganese production. The Kilifi plant will produce 37-40pc manganese material.
