Surge in Global Aluminum Output Marks a New Record

Robust Production Growth Driven by Chinese Output

Global aluminum production hit a new high in December, driven primarily by increased production levels in China, which saw no power restrictions affecting its output. The total global output for the month reached 6.24 million tonnes, marking a 3.02% increase from the previous year.

Regional Contributions to Global Aluminum Production

Notable increases were also observed in Western Europe and Russia, with significant gains of 7.36% and 4.05% respectively. While North American production remained stable, slight gains were seen in South America and other Asian regions excluding China.

Varied Performance Across Different Regions

Despite the overall increase, production in Oceania saw a decrease of 3.09%, highlighting the diverse industrial conditions across different regions. The Middle East and Africa, however, showed modest increases, contributing to the global production figures.
