Expanding US Lithium Processing Capacity

US-based lithium producer Stardust Power has commenced construction on its lithium refinery in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The company acquired a 66-acre site in Southside Industrial Park last December, citing the location’s strong access to power and water as key advantages. This facility represents a significant step toward strengthening domestic lithium supply chains for battery production.

Refinery Production Capacity and Feedstock Sources

The refinery’s Phase 1 operations will produce 25,000 metric tonnes of lithium carbonate annually. A planned second phase will double capacity to 50,000 metric tonnes per year. The plant will process lithium brine sourced from oil and gas wells, ensuring a stable and consistent feedstock supply to support growing demand for lithium-based energy storage solutions.
